Dancing with the Stars 2043

Following in the footsteps of Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith and Jason Taylor.... in his performance debut, direct from the Just For Kix class from Austin Dance Company, I proudly present, my first born, Shay in........

"Blame it on the Boogie"

(he's the one on your far left (stage right)...I know, he needs sun..now shut up and watch.)

And here he is with his teacher Ms. Megan. I mean, what red-blooded boy wouldn't want to spend time with her each week?
After the show, we had several parents come up to us and say how fantastic he was. (Of course he was...but I may be just a little bit biased.) Even one of Shay's buddies from school came up to him and said, "Wow, Shay. I didn't know you could do that!" Shay was beaming from ear to ear.

But in all seriousness, I couldn't be more proud of him. Not because he did well, but because he did it with style. You could just tell he was having a blast up there. And when you perform, technical execution can only get you so far...it's the energy and personality that makes it great. And that's something you just can't teach.

Man, I love that kid.
