Seriously..

I'm not freaking out at all about the marathon in 5 days.

Really.

Not one little, bitty bit.

Seriously.

No, I mean for real.

Nary a skosh.

What in the hell have I signed myself up for? Why didn't one of you talk me out of this?

I need some queso....and a hug.

This is going to sound weird, but isn't intended to freak you out more: If you come to accept the fact that it is going to be a hard last hour(6.2 miles), then, you can start visualizing the task at hand, instead of freaking out.

Also, you've been out there battling for 5hours and 29 minutes doing a half iron... what's 3:45?

Just stop eating junk, and start hydrating on wednesday morning!

You're going to do just fine, and I can't wait to see you cross the finishline!

Wiley is spot on. No queso. Stop that now. Drink water, eat good stuff (I know, you don't do vegetables, but no junk, okay?). Sleep. A lot.

But most importantly of all, remember that you've done a half ironman. You've already put in a sustained effort that is way longer in total time than what you're doing Sunday morning. For that matter, you've had two kids, for God's sake! Sheesh!

I mean, don't dis the marathon or anything, but remember you've already done three things (half IM + kid + kid = 3) that are at least as challenging, if not more so, than the little stroll around Austin you will do this weekend.

Now, go kick some ass! :)
